Brief
The Angling Trust was formed in January 2009 from an historic merger of six angling and conservation organisations. It is the new, single organisation to represent all game, coarse and sea anglers and angling in England. It lobbies government, campaigns on environmental and angling issues and runs national and international competitions. It fights pollution, commercial over-fishing at sea, over-abstraction, poaching, unlawful navigation, local bans and a host of other threats to angling.
The Angling Trust represents angling throughout England giving anglers and commercial fisheries valuable information and support.
The brief that we were given, was to make telesales calls to raise awareness of, and to try to increase membership of The Angling Trust and Fish Legal.
The Work
Goodform managed a telesales campaign to commercial fisheries and organisations, both to promote the Angling Trust and its objectives, and highlight the benefits that members get through the Angling Trust and Fish Legal membership.
The primary objective was to increase the overall membership numbers to the Angling Trust.
For the Angling Trust we provide a team of experienced customer service representatives who understand and enjoy sport, and we operate outbound telemarketing services. Working from information provided by the Angling Trust, we have developed a database of potential members and will continue to cleanse the database on a rolling basis.
The Result
Using our state-of-the-art telephony system, and working to an agreed script, our telemarketing service drives membership sales, cleanses the database and presents detailed reporting to the Angling Trust, facilitating effective future campaign planning.
There has been a high level of interest in the Angling Trust membership from commercial fisheries and a number of these organisations have joined the Trust.
