Goodform has worked with Harlequins Rugby on the marketing of the inaugural The Big Game project in 2008, which won the Sports Industry Award for the Best Integrated Marketing Campaign. Work on the Big Game 2 started in August and Goodform has been involved in leveraging relationships with key commercial partners to promote the match and in marketing to the Harlequins database by email and through telesales campaign.
Mark Evans, Quins’ Chief Executive, said, “We’re delighted with Goodform’s contribution to what is set to be a fantastic day for rugby fans. Achieving a sell out crowd for a Guinness Premiership match will be a superb achievement for the club and our partners.”
Quins’ opponents at Twickenham are local rivals Wasps and, with stars like Ugo Monye and Simon Shaw on show, these two giants of English rugby will surely provide a gripping encounter enough to warm up any winter day. The game kicks off at 4.15pm and there will be additional entertainment at the ground beforehand including music from local Putney-born Jamie Archer (Jamie Afro) and the Welsh beauty Lucie Jones, both stars of the X Factor.
